Full Moon in Punarvasu
The 13th of this month heralds a new dawn of light as the Moon expresses himself fully in the powerful and inspiring star constellation called Punarvasu in Vedic astrology. Yes, I refer to the Moon as masculine because in Vedic cosmology, all of the planets are masculine and the star constellations that transmit the energy of the planets are feminine.
Each sign or Rashi (heap of stars) is a division of the sky which contains a further division of three possible star constellations or nakshatras, within it. Punarvasu is a nakshatra in the sign of Gemini, an air sign ruled by Mercury the messenger.
Punarvasu means the return of the light after the storm of purification and has as its primary shakti or power, the great boon of never losing. In practical terms this means that whatever is launched will manifest and whatever is lost will return.
With the Full Moon magnifying this energy, especially in the depth of our psyches, we have the opportunity to surrender into the pure innocence of our spiritual hearts, feel the vision that arises and launch this vision or samkalpa into the world, with unwavering faith of its success.
It is time to rise to your personal greatness, expand your horizons and flow with Grace and Ease on the currents of Universal law and love.
Another gift of this nakshatra on the world stage is its power to illuminate what has been hidden. In a world where most have adopted the ideology of democracy, understood as governments of, for and by the People, the People must be informed of the truth, otherwise they cannot hold the responsibility of participating in their governments with the correct decision making knowledge. And yet we see that many important events in the history of the United States of America, for instance, are held as classified documents, even decades after their occurrence. Why are the facts hidden. We are so accustomed to this state of affairs that we don’t even question them. These mechanisms of hiding the truth are crumbling and the awakening that will follow will change the course of history. But only if we accompany the expansion of our knowledge of history, world events and politics, with an expansion of our inner enlightenment and direct connection with the Divine Source of all, however you chose to identify and connect.
The Sun will be trining Uranus on the 13th as well, expanding the energy of the Sun in its powerful position in Sagittarius and the nakshatra, Uttara Ashada (she who reaches the highest victory and holds the 10 essential gifts of an auspicious life). Uranus is the great awakener. Now is the time to awaken to your inner gifts, polish them off and share them with the world, aided by the energy of Sagittarius, the archer who sees the goal and shoots the arrow to hit the target.
Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the wise Guru who brings benevolence, wisdom and justice to the world.
