Dear Yogis, let us contemplate the power of the Sun. The Sun illuminates our world and awakens Light, Life and Love. It is the physical manifestation of the Source of creation. It streams unwaveringly as a portal of pure energy that is heat, and light. It ignites the center of the earth itself to move and create the mountains and oceans, forests and atmosphere. We are in essence pieces of the Sun. The Sun illuminates our minds and sees through our eyes, the color and glory of the creator. It is the engine of consciousness that enables us to perceive and understand, move and manifest ideas and inspirations. It is the alchemy that changes seeds into trees, fuel into energy, food into fuel and thought into movement. It is the love that connects us and the sensation of touch. It is the intricate nervous system and the mycelium web.

We have before us the great total eclipse of the Sun on April 8. What does an eclipse of the Sun signify and how can we best tune into this event to be a part of the transformative power it offers. The Sun is eclipsed by the Moon as they cross the karmic axis of the north and south nodes of the moon, Rahu and Ketu, respectively. Rahu is currently in Pisces (according to Vedic astrology, the sidereal zodiac) and Ketu is in Virgo. Pisces is the most spiritual of the astrological signs as the natural 12th house and Virgo, as the natural 6th is about healing, service, overcoming obstacles and purification. When the Sun goes dark something that is hidden is revealed. Something that we need as a collective consciousness and in our personal lives as well. Something will be revealed, and it is up to us to perceive, understand and move forward with knowledge.
