The Bringer of Peace

Merry Christmas to all. Todays’ auspicious Moon’s position is Rohini, a star constellation or nakshatra in Taurus. Rohini is in the center of Taurus, a sign which means to bring heaven to earth and that is what we celebrate on this day. May all beings have peace. Rohini means the rose colored. The Moon is exalted in this position, meaning its qualities of intuition and nurturance are magnified and in fact, according to Vedic lore, this is the Moon’s favorite nakshatra in the zodiac. What is the significance of this as a message for us today? Rohini looks at the world through the innocent eyes of a child. The eyes that perceive magic and wonder, miracles and blessings. To Rohini, only the positive can prevail. Let us take this blessing to heart and like the three Magii or wise men, who were the seers of their day, who watched the stars and intuited their meaning, let us envision that star of hope that led the magi to the baby Jesus in his manger and follow our own loving star to the center of Truth.
